MB 200: Medical Billing I

This course focuses on Medical Billing with emphasis on various insurances. The students will learn about different positions, managed care, medical contracts and Ethics, HIPAA, ICD-10-CM, CPT & HCPCS, and Auditing.

Student Learning Outcomes

1. Have a clear understanding of how each element in the process of Medical Billing affects all other steps

Student Evaluation:

Points will be accumulated in assignments and tests that are given during this quarter.  A final exam will consist of 100 points and must be taken to complete the course.

Student Expectations

Attendance is very important in any college classroom.  This is a fast paced challenging course.  Students are responsible for obtaining information regarding any assignments or testing that was missed during illness/absents.  You must contact me prior to the end of the module that you missed.
