ET 101: Entrepreneurial Mindset

In this course, the student will be introduced to the entrepreneurial mindset in a business context. Emphasis will be placed on the skills, attitudes and behaviors of successful entrepreneurs and on the analysis of the economic, political, social and technological climate that shape the success of entrepreneurial endeavors. Students will be given the opportunity to evaluate the value of the entrepreneurial mindset and apply it to their own entrepreneurial potential.

ET 102: Entrepreneurship Basic: Design Thinking

This course provides students the opportunity to learn and apply design thinking processes in the entrepreneurial environment. Topics include design thinking tools, focus on customer-centered design, and business needs, including prototyping, product life-cycles, production planning, and explaining products to customers and stakeholders.

ET 103: Starting a Business with Limited Resources

This course introduces students to bootstrapping concepts and strategies for limited-resource business startups. Students are engaged by learning about new and alternative capitalization models as well as social media strategies, platforms, and tactics for launching a new business or moving into a new market. Students will explore this entrepreneurial concept through case studies and class exercises.
